Here’s one interesting thing from the world of river tourism.
Luxury River Cruise boat “Victor Hugo” owned by French company Croisi Europe yesterday he returned from the citiy of Sisak and stood in little river place called “Davor”, the birthplace of Croatian football player Ivica Olić. In contrast to the very short stay in Slavonski Brod, from where after several hours boat continued thrue Sava to Sisak, Luxury Cruise boat stopped in a small area of Posavina called “Davor” and remained anchored over the night from Sunday to Monday. Davor villagers enthusiastically welcomed the first ship with foreign tourists in their village, which is famous for its excellent boatmans and fishermans. Local KUD (Cultural and Artistic Association) “M.A. Relković” in the twinkling of an eye, on the luxury cruisers made the right atmosphere, and along with then a French tourists danced on the deck old Slavonian dance. After a night spent on board, 80 French tourists, who boarded the Cruise in Sisak, Monday morning, continued his cruise along the Sava. The starting point of the picturesque river cruise, which lasts a full 10 days, was in Budapest, and the ultimate destination Ilok. As we found out, Davor officially entered the destination port of river cruisers. For those who do not know Ivica Olić is a famous Croatian footballer, who plays football at Bayern in Germany. The small town “Davor” is his birthplace. The manner in which the inhabitants of Davor associated with its hero is very interesting. Recently in Davor they prepared a great feast on the occasion of Olić’s Hat-trick which led Bayern to the final.
Who knows maybe we at Come-To-Adria.com will start to offer an accommodation in Davor.
